Only our second poetry tea time. We served "A La PB&J," "Bologna Sandwicha," mini candy cookies, fresh strawberries with "Mr. Lipton's raspberry ice tea."
My daughter loved the first teatime so much that she set most of this one up this time. We gave our snacks silly names before we read. My son already felt comfortable and read aloud three poems, he was apprehensive the first time.
We ended with both kids creating original poems that I transcribed as they created. We decided to start our own poetry book and saved them on the computer. Someday when we have enough we will print them off and have quite a keepsake.
