Teatime Story: Easy Poetry Party

Throwing a teatime poetry party sounds like a lot of work. But today's story will show you that all you need are poetry books, a treat or two, and friends to make it all come together!

Brave Writer mom Leslie writes:

We invited some friends over for an end of the school year poetry teatime.

Everyone brought a poetry book to share and I passed around post-its for everyone to put on the poems they wanted to share. I ran out as everyone wanted to share more than 10!

We made tea sandwiches, cookies and lavender lemonade. No one wanted to leave the tea party!

Check out some recipes for those teatime treats here:

  • Lavender Lemonade: For this easy twist on classic lemonade, you'll need a few sprigs of lavender. Check out the recipe here from Simply Recipes.
  • Teatime Sandwiches: Whether you like the traditional cucumber sandwich or want a yummy cheese sandwich, you'll be able to find fun and easy sandwich combinations here from The Spruce Eats.
  • Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies: If you're running low on time and need a recipe that can be thrown together in twenty minutes with no mixer required and no chilling needed, then this is the recipe for you. Check out the recipe from I Heart Eating right here.

Thank you for sharing this teatime success, Leslie!
